At a time when I'm more connected with my friends & family (and other's) - we continue to exchange (even depend on) phone numbers (of one type or another).
This is worse if / when we are travelling. Seems to me, when travelling it is more important to be able to have ALL my communications channels open so that my friends can contact me (or I contact my friends) most efficiently and cost effectively.
