Unable to Update My iPhone

The next iPhone is rumored to be coming sometime in September. The unfortunate fact is that I have been needing a new phone since I started my new job back in March.

My iMac Doesn't have Enough Memory

To be updated to OS X Lion. I ran the check and updated the OS to make sure I could update / upgrade when Lion was introduced. But never got the message, till just a few minutes ago (when I tried to update).

Now I am not even sure if I will be able to upgrade it to the 2Gb that is minimally needs.
